Stepping up the backlash, Roe v. Wade, the landmark abortion rights lawsuit is being appealed by the woman who apparently used the pseudonym Roe in the original case.

Most telling is that the state district attorney will not contest the case since it actually no longer applies at a state level, such that the appeal would only hear the anti-abortion side of the argument. How then is this an appeal? A group of Texas lawyers has requested to defend the appeal, so hopefully this will allow some form of debate.

Even if the case reduces to a mock trial, it would embolden the anti-abortionists to increase their attacks, if, in their self-circumscribed thinking, Roe v. Wade has been struck down, the war can be escalated to undo all freedom of choice in respect of womens reproduction.
