There has been a fine tradition of patriotic women blowing the whistle on the outrages of the current U.S. presidency. Colleen Rowley questioning why her search warrant for Zacarias Moussoui’s computer was rewritten by her superiors such that it was rejected, Karen Kwiatowski resigning her post and revealing the existence of the Office of Special Plans, the lie factory designed to fool the president and press into supporting an invasion of Iraq, and Janis Karpinski, the commander of Abu Ghraib prison, refusing to fall on her sword over the torturegate scandal.

A woman who has been speaking out for a while is Sibel Edmonds. She is an FBI translator who was fired from her job after bringing to the attention of her superiors incorrect translations of documents which reveal evidence of plans to use planes as weapons prior to the 9/11 tragedy.

She was interviewed on Democracy Now and has now had a gag order placed on her after testifying to Congress under oath in closed door sessions. She is currently fighting this gag order to allow her to speak publicly about what she has discovered of purposefully mistranslated documents and infiltration of the FBI by other security agencies, allegedly Mossad. These accusations are covered in her interview at Break For News. It is only the spinelessness of the Congress that is stopping her information to be made public, if enough voters write to their congress-people demanding her testimony be made public, the victims of 9/11 will finally have the truth be revealed.

This news interview was brought to my attention by 9/11 Citizens Watch.
