Rapidly becoming something of an anti-globalist superwoman, Naomi Klein has an expose on ex-secretary of state James Baker’s extraordinary conflict of interest.

Incriminating documents describe Baker garnering $1Bn for the Carlyle group (the defence contractor and investment group that has he and G.H.W. Bush on the board, aka the ex-Presidents club) in protection money to ensure the Kuwaiti government continues to suck funds out of Iraq gulf war reparations. This is while he is supposedly on a mission to convince foreign governments to forgive Iraq debt! The kicker is who was running as cover for the Carlyle group to cover their conflict of interest: the Albright group, Madeleline Albright’s influence pedalling company, the ex-Democrat secretary of state during the Clinton presidency.

Once again, Democracy Now! was the first media outlet to cover it. Question is, will Democrat brown-nosing CNN? Will the Democrats throw Albright to the lions in order to get political milage out of Baker’s and Carlyles extortion to the detriment of Daddy and Junior Bush?
