- Alphabet Soup
A commercially available, easy to use sample player for MacOS X.
- MultiresRhythm
See my Research Page for my
software for multiresolution rhythm analysis and interpretation.
- The MusicKit
I use Apple's MacOS X for my music research and also
my music production. Currently I am porting the MusicKit/SndKit - a
DSP based object-oriented music library which integrates DSP, MIDI and
software synthesis paradigms to OpenStep/MacOS X/Windows/Linux
(GnuStep).
-
Calliope
I am porting William Clocksin's Calliope music notation package
from NeXTStep to MacOS X and GNUstep.
- Make Image Folios
To format and post my photography images online I wrote a simple
perl script. This has the advantage over some other systems in that it does
the uploading using a secure shell interface (ssh) and can be selective in uploading
only the HTML as well as also the images. It may suit your purposes.
- PatchCord
As a background project, I'm building an
object oriented SysEx librarian under MacOS X and other systems that
the MusicKit runs on. It is part of the MusicKit distribution.
- The MathKit
I am a co-developer with SKoT McDonald of the MathKit, a collection
of matrix, vector, DSP, statistics and other mathematical operations
as an Objective C framework for use on MacOS X/OpenStep/GnuStep.
- SoX - Sound Tools
I have used SoX for many years for sound conversion requirements
and it is used by the SndKit for sound file conversions. It is now
deprecated in favour of libsndfile, except in cases of memory scarcity.
- Emacs for MacOS X
I used to help maintain a distribution of Emacs that runs as a
native Aqua MacOS X app. It has a long distinguished history starting
life as an NeXTStep port. Nowdays, there is MacOS X support in the
main CVS branch of emacs, so this distribution is no longer all that useful.
- Mirage Editor Librarian
I have a collection of public domain software for
communicating with an (ancient) Ensoniq Mirage Sampler. If you know
the joys of sample editing with 2 LEDs, this stuff is for you...
